The Stacks Presents Beti Masenqo

The Stacks series is entering the fall season with indie-folk singer, multi instrumentalist, and very special guest; Beti Masenqo.

A brilliant musician and songwriter both, Beti blends folk, classical, and traditional Ethiopian music to create her singular, dreamy sound. Her lilting lyrics derive from her life experience as an Ethiopian immigrant and a Californian, and like a good poet, she explores that liminal space with gentle intensity.

In addition to being a skilled songwriter, Beti has a masters degree in classical violin performance and played with orchestras and chamber groups, including the Sacramento Philharmonic, the Solano Symphony, the Oakland Civic Orchestras, and Coco Jones's chamber ensemble at the 2026 Super Bowl.

We are so delighted to invite Beti to the Stacks, an exclusive, up-close 40-minute set surrounded by a curated selection of music & art books.

Please stick around to ask Beti and her musicians your burning questions, enjoy some refreshments, mingle with a roomful of creatives, and browse amazing books on the arts. We'll provide wine, beer, bubbly water, and snacks.

Important Event Notes, Please Read:

Doors! Doors open at 6:00 but will close at 6:30pm! This is a filmed event and to ensure no disruption, we unfortunately cannot accommodate late entrance.

Seating! This a seated event but please inform us in advance if you need accomodations for a wheel chair or standing room.

Parking + Bike Rack! We now have our own bike rack right out front of the store. If you are driving, there is plenty of neighborhood parking available.

Filming! This is a filmed event that will be the property of KVIE and shared on the Abridged platforms. The focus will be on the artists, but all concert guests may appear on film. By purchasing your ticket, you are giving permission for Abridged to use footage that may include you.
