Jip, its time again for one of those rarest of treats: a full blown, full band Blues Jam! And the good news is that one of SA'svery best guitarists. Mauritz Lotz will be joining the allready star-studded line-up. One of the greatest joys in life for a musician is to get together with other musicians and simply play and create music “on the spot”. In the Blues and Jazz “capitols” of the world like New Orleans, Montreal, Paris & Chicago, certain areas or streetcorners became unofficial gathering places where musicians from all over the world would meet and just ”jam” .
Spontaneous Combustion Blues is exactly that: ... no rehearsal allowed, seat of the pants kind of fun. the 3 Frontmen must each bring 6 songs to the gig…and then they get 1 minute to explain to the rest of the band (and the audience) what he would like them to contribute to the song! He starts the song, and the rest of the band joins and see how much “magic” they can create.
The line-up for this show is: Rupert Mellor (piano vox), Sven Blumer (guitar vox), Mauritz Lotz (guitar) Dale Collins (guitar vox), Rob Stemmet (bass), Pieter Heyns (drums); Jurg Human (MC, guitar & vox)
