The Spoken Word Soirée is BACK! We're excited to bring you the first event of 2026. We're setting a theme inspired by the internal choices we often ponder, battle (and hopefully write about) with the start of a new year. A few months into 2026, how have your recent decisions and intentions for the year ahead shaped your path? Maybe you set a New Year's resolution that's still going strong, or you made a change that's turned your world upside down. Whatever crossroad you're facing — or have faced in the past — we have the platform for you to share.
This is a safe, inclusive space for poets, writers, musicians, performance poets, rappers, lovers of language, and artists of all levels to step forward and share your truth.
The mic is open for work(s)-in-progress, favourite poems, songs, slam poetry, prose, or spontaneous, channelled musings. The work can be your own or from other writers you admire and cite.
Whether you're performing or simply here to listen, this event invites you to connect, express, and explore the choices we make. Bring your words, your passion, and your presence. The mic is open.
