Follow in the footsteps of the notorious Beckford family who once owned the Fonthill Estate. Learn of a bygone era of building extravagant country mansions, including the famous 19th century Gothic revival Fonthill Abbey (Beckford’s Folly), now in ruins.

Cranborne Chase National Landscape’s walking champion Richard will be your guide as you explore the pretty landscapes and vistas around Fonthill Park.

The route is 7.5 miles with undulating countryside, one steep climb and one steep descent. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
