A great (and free!) opportunity to celebrate the Splendid Stones of Wells!On Saturday 13th September, as part of Heritage Open Days, St Cuthbert's Church, Wells Cathedral and Wells & Mendip Museum are offering free tours of the amazing medieval stone carvings in the city.
Tours start at St Cuthbert's Church at 10.00 am, 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm and then move on to the Cathedral. The museum is offering free entry all day (10-4) and have a great collection of stone carvings.
At St Cuthbert's visitors can also enjoy stone carving demonstrations, stone painting for children and refreshments, including light lunches.
