The Space to Breathe

Join us for a peaceful night under the stars led by local astronomy enthusiasts Dr. Brian Peterson, Martin Bowers, and John Adams Hodge. This no-pressure stargazing experience is designed just for teenagers to relax, reflect, and explore the wonders of the universe. Telescopes provided!

Sunset Edition: 7:00 - 9:30 PM

Night Owl Edition: 9:00 - 11:30 PM

*This includes travel time on the group transportation bus (see below).

Both stargazing sessions will take place under the dark skies of in Batesburg-Leesville. Telescopes do better away from city lights! No worries - transportation will be provided by Palmetto Athletic Center, with pick up and drop off at Pilgrim Lutheran Church (1430 North Lake Dr, Lexington).

The stars just aren't visible when it's cloudy! If the weather does not cooperate on October 11, this event will be moved to October 25 with the same sessions at the same times. Transportation will be provided in the same manner. Your ticket is refundable (see policy) up to 7 days before the event, in case you cannot make the rain date.
