The South Dallas County Crew Cut Cowboy Band has been playing their style of homemade American bar music for over 48 years. They are the only Iowa band to have been the opening act for Jerry Lee Lewis at the Civic Center, Reba McEntire at Veterans Auditorium, plus Duane and Floppy at the Iowa State Fair -- all in the same year. From beer joints to ballrooms, theaters and arenas, they have shared the stage with everyone from The Ozark Mountain Daredevils to Jerry Jeff Walker. One reviewer wrote “Their press release reads like a musical “Who’s Who”, now if only they knew “What’s What”!”
