The Music and Drama Group are proud to present Rogers and Hammerstein’s Sound of Music for Shaftesbury Arts Centre’s 2025 Summer Show.
The world’s most loved musical is coming to Shaftesbury and we would love you to be a part of it. Maria is a free-spirited postulant nun who becomes governess to Captain von Trapp’s seven children. As the Nazi’s gain control of Europe Maria brings music and joy to the von Trapp children, while romance blossoms between her and the Captain. Join us as we bring this story of love, friendship and patriotism to life on our stage. As well as the principal roles we are casting an amazing ensemble of nuns, ball guests and Nazis. Looking to get involved behind the scenes? Become part of the show by helping with costume, tech, being a stage hand or makeup artist!
