The Sofia Goodman Group

Sofia Goodman is an award winning drummer and composer based in Music City. Her 2023 album Secrets of the Shore received 4 stars in DownBeat and won Best Jazz Album in the Nashville scene. Her music has been described as "mesmerizing, compositionally rich" and "something to be excited about in the Nashville scene."
As a teenager, she was placed in jazz icon Esperanza's Spalding's student ensemble at Berklee College of Music. She has released three acclaimed albums and has performed with jazz & blues titans like Bobby Rush, Joel Frahm, and Pascal Le Boeuf. She has also recorded with Jon Anderson of Yes with new age folk rock group HuDost. She started bandleading in 2017 and has performed at jazz festivals like The Elkhart Jazz Festival, Greenville Jazz Festival and others. She has received several awards including CMA Performance Plus and Pathways to Jazz. She endorses Zildjian cymbals and has been an artist in their family for a decade.
