The Slates are an indie band originally from Leeds, now based in Manchester. Their music draws from everyday life, built on sharp lyricism and tight, guitar-led songwriting. While rooted in their northern background, the band are focused on creating something new — not just echoing what came before.
Since making the move to Manchester, The Slates have been building a reputation through word-of-mouth gigs, energetic live shows, and a steadily growing fanbase. With new material in the works and bigger stages ahead, they’re carving out a name as one of the most promising acts emerging from the North.
SPANGLED
Manchester-born post-punk band Spangled are beginning to establish themselves as one of the most exciting emerging acts in the UK. Known for their infectious energy and unmatched stage presence, the four-piece have amassed over 1 million streams worldwide across all platforms, all without major label backing.
Spangled finished their latest UK tour with 3 massive sold out shows across Leeds, London and their home town Manchester at Band on The Wall. They are set to return to Manchester on 28th February 2026 to headline the prestigious O2 Ritz.
With their signature sound and growing reputation for electrifying live shows, Spangled are continuing to cement their place as a rising force in the post-punk scene.
YOUTH KILLED IT
Emerging in 2017 from the heart of Norwich, Youth Killed It swiftly commanded attention and has been making waves ever since. Armed with infectious riffs, razor-sharp wit, and unabashed bravado, they’ve solidified their place within the UK music scene.
Their journey boasts performances at prestigious festivals like Isle of Wight, Stockton Calling, and Teddy Rocks. They’ve shared stages with renowned artists including LaFontaines, MassMatiks, Goldie Lookin Chain, Scouting for Girls, The Snuts, The Sherlocks, The Skints, and The Kooks. Their European tour alongside The Frights showcased their dynamic presence beyond the UK.
The band’s sonic tales have resonated across major platforms like Radio 1 with Jack Saunders, Phil Taggart, Huw Stephens, and Neyls Hylton. Their tracks have found homes on screens too, featured on Sky Sports, BT Sports, Eastenders, and Tattoo Fixers.
With over 3.5 million Spotify streams and a dedicated following of 6k on the platform, their music, often likened to the energy of Hard-Fi, Soft Play, The Streets, and Jamie T, has struck a chord with music enthusiasts.
Youth Killed It proudly boasts two albums and one EP, commanding sold-out headline shows at iconic venues like Camden Assembly, London, and The Waterfront, Norwich.
Their sonic arsenal blends indie and punk rock, delivering an electrifying fusion that demands attention from anyone craving high-octane, infectious music.
THE GLASSHOUSE
The Glasshouse are one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands from the Hull music scene. With their own take on indie rock, The Glasshouse range from catchy guitar riffs to ballad-like songs, providing something for everyone’s taste. They released their debut EP ‘Don’t Throw Stones’ in May of 2025, and are in the process of writing their first album.
