The Slam Olympics (w/ Auction + Raffle)!!

Come one, come all for another round of the SLAM OLYMPICS!!

Much like in previous years, we'll all get to watch three teams go head-to-head in very silly, extremely wacky poetry challenges such as:

• Who can eat some hot sauce (think Hot One's The Last Dab, y'all) and keep their cool best while performing a poem?
• On-the-spot poetry writing, where the poets only have ten minutes to write their best poem a specific object - who can come up with the best piece in only a matter of minutes?
• Poets will draw a slip of paper with a(n) action / voice / emotion from a hat - which one will commit to the action for the duration of their performance?
• AND MORE!!!

Not only will there be goofy poetic games, but we will also be hosting a raffle and an auction throughout the event!

This show is happening upstairs at the event loft space at Barrel Room (120 NE Couch St) on Sunday, June 1st. Doors and raffle/auction start at 6:30pm, poetry show starts at 7:00pm.

There will be food and drink available to purchase. Presale tickets are $10 online. Tickets will be $15 at the door.

This show is a fundraiser for The Bigfoot Poetry Festival. All proceeds go towards putting on our festival, taking place June 25 - 27.

At this time, all twelve poets competing have been selected. This is a showcased event, meaning there will not be an open mic.
