Next The Signal Path Synth Meet will be on Tuesday the 28th of October 6:30-9pm in Howlers Theatre room. (Back room) Entry is FREE!This meet Chris Steller from Sound and Music returns to share his love of all things hardware and sound.
Chris will demo the IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X. The compact analogue synth that packs a punch. Excerpt from Sound On Sound magazine :
"The UNO Synth Pro X is a powerful and multifaceted instrument that will reward hours of experimentation, yet it still manages to stay fun and light on its feet in all the ways that matter. Explorative enough for the studio and upfront enough for the stage, it’s very much a success for IK Multimedia."
I look forward to hearing it on the Howler system.
Chris will also introduce the new ESI Xsynth. Speaking of compact! It's a 25 key virtual analogue subtractive synthesizer. We will learn more on the night!
Our live act for the night I have know for a long time and have been waiting to hear him return to the live hardware arena.
Urban Spaceman aka Guy Taylor has been tinkering away in his synth den of solder smoke for years now. TSP has managed to convince the man of multiple universes to come and share some of the sounds he has been creating while travelling space and time.
As per our usual meet, you can still bring a synth to share.
Every synth lover in Naarm is welcome to join us for a chat about synths, drink, eat and tickle our eardrums with new sounds. Prepare your belly for some treats and ears for beats, drones and filter sweeps!
Feel free to play with all the synths in the room, except for the live jam setup (should be in the middle of the room).
There is a strictly "no drink over synths" policy. Unless it's your synth, in which case it's at your own risk!
Note it's 'burger night' at Howler. Good quality too.
If you do plan on bringing a synthesizer (of any description) please get in touch so we make sure there is ample table space.
If you do bring a synth, also bring a pair of headphones please.
Those who are not bringing synths, also feel free to bring your own pair of headphones to use, if that makes you more comfortable.
Any questions feel free to DM Age Rachele.
See you there.
The Signal Path Synth meet is a safe space. Zero tolerance on discrimination, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm.
The Signal Path acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we will be meeting, and to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
Thanks again to Kevin from Stable Music for organising the space and Howler for providing the space. You are both doing the Naarm synth community a great service.
The Signal Path supports the call for an end to the genocide in Gaza and right of self determination of the Palestinian people and creation of a Palestinian State. The Signal Path supports all people of Jewish faith and birth to live free of persecution and stands with the Jewish people around the globe calling for an end to the genocide.
