Here are the preliminary details for this year's Minihammer Event at Nashcon. Details are subject to change as work on the event progresses and I will post updates for the event here. The drums of war beat once again in the Mortal Realms as the forces of Destruction descend upon the Ghurish city of Stormgard! Led by none other than Kragnos, the End of Empires himself, a vast army consisting of Sons of Behemat, Ogor Mawtribes, and Bonesplitters Orrucs seek to destroy this mighty Sigmarite city. As the beleaguered forces of Stormcast and Cities of Sigmar, along with the mighty warrior Gotrek and the Cogfort Mons Meg, hold off the rampaging army of destruction, a relief force of Draconith led by Ionus Cryptborn and Krondys rush to their aid. But can they make it there in time?
This will be an all-day narrative event taking place across all 3 gaming sessions on Friday. The game will use the Minihammer ruleset as well as a custom siege warfare ruleset. The event is designed for 8 to 10 players and all gaming aids will be provided (you can use your own D6 dice if you prefer).
Session One: Battle of Carcass Donse
The Stormcast Eternals relief force consisting of Draconith units are enroute to the city of Stormgard through the chasm of Carcass Donse. However, the passage is guarded by a large force of gargants and mega-gargants, and the Stormcast have no other option but to fight their way through. How well the Stormcast Eternals fair in this battle will determine what turn they arrive during the Siege of Stormgard.
Sessions Two and Three: The Siege of Stormgard
Stormgard, the magnificent city, is under Siege by the forces of Destruction led by Kragnos, the End of Empires. Lord Ordinator Valerius Anvilward has been charged with the cities defenses and must hold the enemy at bay until the Stormcast Eternals Draconith forces can arrive.
As with last year, there will be a Minihammer starter boxset for each player that participates in the event. This year's boxset theme will be "Battle at the Crags" and will include Sons of Behemat (giants) and Stormcast Draonith (dragons) models and rocky terrain as well as gaming aids and the Minihammer Rulebook. In addition, each session will have a unique miniature set that can only be obtained during that session. Each player will also be given a ticket at the beginning of each session as well as during the games for achieving certain objectives. Tickets will be placed into a raffle for a giant sized box set that includes a sample of all the miniatures from the game as well as a starter fortress and siege equipment. Boxsets will be limited so it is best to register for the game in advance by sending me a pm or leaving a comment here.
