Join us for a community football tournament in memory of Sidney Lawrence, a respected coach, mentor and pillar of the community.

The Sidney Lawrence Cup brings together young players, adults he coached, and everyone who knew and loved him, to celebrate his legacy through sport, unity and community spirit.

This is a free community event with 5-a-side football matches, music, food and a positive, family friendly environment for local residents and supporters.

Time: 12:00pm to 7:00pm

How Tickets Work

Team Entry (Players)

• £25 minium team donation is required

•1 ticket = 1 team (maximum of 10 players )

• Only the team captain needs to book

• After booking, a team registration form must be completed with all player names

• Teams without completed registration will not be entered into the tournament

• Players must be aged 8 and over

Age Groups:

- U10 ( 8-10)

- U14's

- U16's

- Seniors

Players will be grouped into the appropriate age categories based on registration

• Under 16s must have a parent or guardian present

Spectator Tickets (Non-Players)

• Required for anyone attending who is not playing

• 1 ticket per spectator (select correct number of tickets to support planning)

• Open to families, friends and supporters

• Includes access to the full event

What to Expect

• Youth and adult football matches

• Music throughout the day

• Food and refreshments available

• Trophies for tournament winners

• Player of the Day awards

• Limited team spaces available

• First come, first served

• 5 a side matches

• This is a free community event

• Respectful behaviour is expected at all times

• Follow instructions from organisers and volunteers
