Urban Heat Collective
Urban Heat Collective
Info: Urban Heat Collective is a collaborative project bringing together UCL urban climate researcher Dr Oscar Brousse, local artist and educator Andrew Brown, and science communicator Judit Agui to explore how people experience heat in cities. The project investigates the complex relationship between solar radiation and the built environment with a particular focus on the role of green and blue spaces in cooling urban landscapes. Using alternative photographic processes, including cyanotype printing, near-infrared photography, and thermal imaging, Urban Heat Collective transforms scientific data into vivid, accessible visual experiences. Through heat walks, workshops and exhibitions Urban Heat Collective invites local communities in East London to actively engage and respond to urban heat.
