Side Quest’s first official PowerPoint Party!With a community like Side Quest’s, we’d argue that this was eventually inevitable. Do you have a hot take that you want to publicly defend? Do you have a friend with a really interesting hyperfixation? Have you always thought you’d be pretty good at stand up, if only you could use visual aids? Or maybe you know how to ask questions that tee someone up just right! We want you all!Tickets are limited to keep the audience a reasonable size and we’re asking for presentations to be submitted ahead of time (more info below) so your host can put together an agenda of a variety of titillating presentations that keep us within our time limit.(Is this sounding a lot like SmartyPants for you DropOut fans? You’re right on track. But probably for legal reasons, this is nothing like that at all.)PowerPoint Party Presentation Proposal Process:• A proposal link will go live Sept 1 here, and will be sent to all ticket-holders!• Proposal are due a week in advance: Fri Sept 12 by 11:59pm. You don’t need to submit a whole presentation, but you need to have a topic and some of the basic info ready.• You’ll be contacted to let you know if your proposal was accepted by Monday Sept 15, and you’ll need to confirm your spot by the next day.• More specific guidelines for presentation proposals will be in the form that goes live Sept 1, but, hopefully obviously, no hateful content will be allowed. If we have questions about potentially triggering content in your proposal, we will likely follow up with you before confirming a spot for you just to make sure. SQBG is a safe space for everyone and we plan to keep it that way.• Important note: You need to buy a ticket in order to have your presentation submission considered! We can’t save spots for potential presenters. And we hope that you’re excited for the event whether you’ll be presenting or not — plus, hopefully this won’t be your last chance.An alcoholic and a non-alcoholic beverage option will be provided. Outside food is also welcome in. Masks are optional for this event, but please let us know and remain home if you fall ill.
