We're happy to announce the upcoming group show at Gunia Nowik Gallery, The Shield, which will feature works by Teresa Gierzyńska, Ksenia Gryckiewicz, Julia Kowalska, Sana Shahmuradova Tanska, and Wiktoria Wojciechowska.
The exhibition focuses on the complex themes of sisterhood and of community in general, particularly in challenging and uncertain times. It explores the flow of energy between women, emphasizing mutual support and solidarity. A central theme is the connection between female biological cycles and the natural rhythms of nature. The works reference rituals, symbols, and archetypes associated with female strength, while also reflecting on the pursuit of transcendence in feminism. The exhibition offers a space for reflection on the role of women in society, their relationships with the world, and their place in the shifting social, political and ecological landscape.
