The Shed: Monthly Youth Open Mic Event

Stax Music Academy is excited to launch 2025 with the return of The Shed, our dynamic monthly open mic series for young artists. This vibrant event provides a welcoming stage for youth to showcase their creativity, connect with peers, and celebrate the arts.

This month's event will take place at the brand-new performing arts center on Southwest Union Avenue—a perfect space to inspire and amplify young voices. Street parking is available or utilize the parking lot off Linden side across from the tennis courts. Signage will be on location to help direct attendees.

• Sign-Up Begins: 5:30 PM
• Who Can Perform: Exclusively for 5th-12th grade students
• Guests: Parents and student chaperones are welcome!
