The Shaelyn Band

Rich Southern grooves, soul-drenched vocals, and blues-infused rock define The Shaelyn Band, one of Florida’s fastest-rising blues acts. Fronted by vocalist and poet Shaelyn “Shae” Mulberry, the group blends blues, soul, funk, and rock into a powerful sound rooted in Southern musical traditions. Since forming in Jacksonville in 2020, the band has built a reputation for dynamic live performances, combining soaring vocals, tight musicianship, and original songs that range from heartfelt ballads to hard-driving blues shuffles.
Their albums The Shaelyn Band and Juke Joint! showcase a modern blues sound infused with gospel influences, classic soul, and back-porch Southern grit. The band’s growing national profile includes the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where they advanced to the semifinals in 2024. Their music draws on the emotional depth of classic blues while embracing funk rhythms, rock energy, and contemporary songwriting, creating a sound that is both familiar and distinctly their own.
