Led by Susan Tonkin Riegel, an M.A. trained master artist and seasoned educator, this workshop blends sophisticated fine art technique with soulful exploration. Whether you are a practiced creator or picking up a brush for the first time, Susan’s guidance will help you move through the creative process with ease curiosity and intuition.

The Yurt Circle
We begin each day with a grounding meditation and traditional smudging in the yurt setting a sacred intention and leaving the outside world behind.

Custom Stamp Making
Discover the professional secret to rich texture by creating your own custom string stamps on wooden blocks to print onto raw canvas.

Gelli Plate Mastery
Dive into the world of layered color and translucent textures using Gelli plates on both canvas and paper.

The Secret Pocket
Incorporate hidden vessels within your artwork delicate pockets for tucking away daily journal entries intentions wishes or tiny treasures.

The Final Composition
Assemble your discoveries onto raw canvas substrates designed to hang as a sophisticated gallery piece or serve as a personal altar cloth your choice or perhaps one of each.

Susan brings decades of mastery from college classrooms to international workshops directly to your side. Through live demonstrations and one on one mentorship she will show you the how to while reminding you that there is no right way only your way.

We close our time together back in the yurt circle stitching the magic of the weekend together like a cosmic bow. You will head home glowing grounded and filled with the delight of having honored your creative self in the most expressive way possible.
