Join us for an unforgettable evening honoring the legendary Leonard Cohen, a poet, songwriter, and spiritual guide whose music has touched hearts and minds around the world. On Friday, November 22nd, The Secret Chord, one of the few active Leonard Cohen tribute acts in the U.S., will take the stage at Hawks and Reed’s The Perch.
This exceptional four-piece band, enhanced by a dynamic trio of vocalists, will bring their unique interpretation to Cohen's timeless songs. Infusing elements of folk, jazz, and rock into their performance, The Secret Chord delivers a rich and evocative experience that reflects over a century of combined musical expertise.
Band members include Gordon Kramer on guitar and vocals. Gordon ("Leonard" of The Secret Chord) blends his extensive musical experience with a deep passion for Leonard Cohen's music and its healing power. Vocalists Ruth Critcher and Jody Spitz join Gordon in crafting the deep melodic tones Cohen is known for. The Secret Chord also boasts Ray Grigonis on bass, Jesse Sprole on Keys, and Patrick Kelly on drums.

Opening group, After The Rain, is made up of vocalists Ruth Critcher, Rae Griffiths and Carol Sharick with Devin Griffiths on acoustic guitar. They perform a wide variety of music, from traditional Appalachian to classic rock to contemporary folk. We choose songs that lend themselves to rich three-part harmony.
