The Second Story Sessions featuring Drew Landry
About this Event
THE SECOND STORY SESSIONS
Raise a glass to the artists of the Flathead
On Thursday nights, The Second Story at 101 Central Whitefish opens its doors to the creative voices who call this valley home.
The Second Story Sessions is a gathering place for local talent of every kind. One Thursday might bring an intimate singer-songwriter set. The next could bring comedy, cabaret, burlesque, a poetry reading or a gallery showing from a Flathead artist. The format changes. The spirit stays the same.
Start with dinner at Herb & Omni, then come upstairs, grab a drink at the bar, find your spot and see who’s taking the stage. Stay for a song, a set or the whole evening. Whether you’re a longtime local, a visiting guest, an artist yourself or just looking for something different to do on a Thursday night, this is your invitation to slow down, connect and discover the remarkable talent right here in our community.

The Second Story at 101 Central Whitefish

Cajun-born and Big Sky-based, Drew Landry is a songwriter’s songwriter. After hearing Landry’s ballad “Last Man Standing,” Kris Kristofferson told the crowd it was the best song he’d heard in thirty years.
Landry has shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Billy Joe Shaver and Johnny Winter. He co-produced an EP with the legendary Dr. John and earned a Warner Bros. deal after his song “BP Blues” went viral during his Congressional testimony. He has played SXSW, Americanafest, New Orleans Jazzfest and Under the Big Sky.
His music blends traditional country, swamp-pop and blues into true stories of working people. He has called the Blackfeet Nation home for more than a decade, and he’s touring in support of his long-awaited new album, Exiles: The Dockside Tapes Vol. 1.
Just good spirits, great company and something new to experience every Thursday. Follow Second Story Sessions for upcoming performances and featured artists.
