Hosted by Scotsman Chief Theatre Critic Joyce McMillan, join us for the Scotsman Fringe First Awards ceremony, as we celebrate the brightest stars and best new theatre shows at this year’s festival.

The Scotsman has been at the heart of the Edinburgh Festivals since 1947, finding groundbreaking talent and celebrating new work. Join us as we reveal the final week winners of our 2026 Fringe First Awards, plus the winners of this year's Brighton Fringe Award, Holden Street Theatres (Adelaide Fringe) Award, Mental Health Foundation Fringe Award, and Filipa Braganca Award.

The Fringe Firsts have helped launch the careers of stars including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Richard Gadd, Stephen Fry and Billy Connolly. Each year we also provide a platform for awards that support Fringe artists to showcase their work all over the world. We’re delighted to welcome Scotsman readers as our guests - completely FREE of charge.
