For 15 years Chandra Shekar Mayanil, PhD served as a Professor and Director of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Research Program and an Eleanor Clarke Research Scholar in Developmental Neurobiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, USA, during which he and his colleagues conducted groundbreaking basic science research on the development of the Spinal Chord and Brain.

Shekhar authored his bestselling book, “The Gravity of Gratitude: Yogic Neuroscience Understanding of Gratitude.” It deals with the ‘gravity of gratitude’ that transcends ‘being thankful’ and ‘being grateful.’
