𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 & 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫
Known for their expressive, musical, and deeply connected Bachata, Amber and Sagar are an Indianapolis-based dance couple whose style blends grounded technique, emotional presence, and authentic partner connection.
Their partnership combines Amber’s modern dance foundation with Sagar’s background in street styles including popping, tutting, and animation, alongside extensive Latin dance training. Both have performed with Mambo Magic, Indianapolis’ premier mambo team, and are accomplished national and international competitors. Their accolades include multiple Jack & Jill wins, such as Sagar’s 1st place at Bachatanama and 2nd place at Empire Sensual Movement Festival, as well as Amber’s victories at Reno Dance Fest in both Bachata and Salsa.
As a couple, they are known for their chemistry, musical interpretation, and intentional partnership—inviting dancers to move with both technique and feeling.
𝐘𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐲 & 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨
Originally from Colombia and now based in Denver, Colorado, Yurley and Diego are Bachata artists and instructors and the founders of Dynamic Bachata Fusion Dance Company. Known for their dynamic approach, they train dancers across a wide range of current Bachata styles—including sensual, modern, bachata zouk, and new generation—always staying aligned with the evolution of the scene.
While recognized for strong Jack & Jill competition results, their true passion lies in developing confident, high-level social dancers. Their teaching emphasizes connection, musicality, and continuous growth within a supportive and welcoming community.
𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 is an international bachata dancer and an instructor at BSO. He is known for his musical sensitivity, playfulness, and expressive style, blending hip hop and urban influences with bachata. His recent accolades include 1st place at the NY Sensual Movement Jack and Jill competition in the Pro Advanced category and 3rd place at Sensual Movement Miami.
As a teacher, his goal is simple: make dance fun, educational, and unapologetically unique to YOU. His classes blend structure with freedom, creating a space where dancers learn technique and outward expression.
𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚
Melanie is a Denver-based dance instructor specializing in reggaeton. Born in Mexico, she brings years of teaching and performance experience across diverse dance spaces and festivals. Known for her strong musicality, confident movement, and welcoming teaching style, she creates classes that are empowering, accessible, and rooted in community—helping dancers connect with their body, the music, and their confidence.
𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 & 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐧
Joanie and Stephen are Santa Fe–based Bachata and Salsa instructors with over two decades of combined teaching experience. Their approach emphasizes grounded technique in service of playful, connected social dancing. As the organizers of the Santa Fe Bachata Weekender, they are dedicated to cultivating a warm, inclusive dance community in Santa Fe.
