With a wingspan of 5 feet to 7 feet, this bird cuts a striking image while soaring high above during its annual fall migration. This program begins at Plum Creek Nature Center with a brief presentation. Then we'll board a chartered bus to Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area near Medaryville, Ind. Historically, large numbers of sandhill cranes gather here to feed and rest during their annual fall migration.
Fee: $35 per person.
Age: Ages 18 and older.
Registration required by Sunday, Nov. 2, by calling 708-946-2216 or online: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/activity/search/detail/9803?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true
Bring binoculars and a camera for this unforgettable experience. The fee includes travel expenses, snacks and experienced guides.
