The Salutation Writers - a weekly writing workshop in Manchester
About this Event
Starting on October 7th 2026, this weekly workshop is a welcoming place to come and work on your writing through a series of activities and prompts, led by experienced facilitators Becky May and John Greenwood.
It’s designed to be generative so that you can focus on getting as many words down as possible and leave with new ideas to develop.
At the end of term, we’ll have a performance special – this is your chance to share your work (either written in the group or outside) and gain confidence when performing. Our group size for this event will be larger, and you’ll be able to sign up on the night for a three-minute slot.
We believe that being part of a community of writers is the key to feeling inspired and supported and are excited to create this space together.
Feel free to come as often or as little as you like.
So that price isn’t a barrier, we’re offering two options – general admission and concessions (student, those on benefits and over 60’s)
