About this Event

🦎 Salamander Field Hunt & 3D Creation Activity

Join us for the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club (MSRC) — a fun, interactive program designed to promote early literacy, vocabulary development, and a love of reading for children ages birth through eight and their families.

This hands-on outdoor adventure invites young explorers to search for salamanders using field guides while learning about local wildlife. After the hunt, children will bring their learning to life by creating their own 3D salamander to take home.

Families will enjoy:
✨ Interactive, nature-based read-aloud sessions
✨ Guided field exploration using real tools
✨ Hands-on 3D creative activity
✨ Opportunities for family engagement and discovery

The Mayor’s Summer Reading Club is a collaborative initiative between the City of Atlanta, GEEARS, PNC, United Way, and community partners working together to strengthen literacy outcomes for Atlanta’s youngest learners.

Come explore, create, and discover the wonders of nature! 🦎🌿
