About this Event
Every day, healthcare staff prepare, administer, and dispose of hazardous medicinal products (HMPs), including cytotoxics, immunotherapies and antineoplastic drugs. Occupational exposure is associated with serious long term health effects, and yet there is no recognised national definition of these substances in the UK, no national list, and no legal requirement for the closed system transfer devices that prevent exposure a the point of handling.
This full day conference at the Royal College of Physicians brings together clinicians, employers, researchers and policymakers to examine the evidence and what a national standard should look like.
