The Runway #356

No telling where February football lands this season, so we’re not waiting around. If the big game won’t come to us, we’ll bring the show to the Kickoff 5K.
We’re lining up in Leawood for a pregame jam that turns the clock back to the set that still sets the bar for every one since. A stadium so loud for so long that the show didn’t need to start yet. Two full minutes of applause before a single note. No band, no pyro, not one twitch. Just standing there and letting a hundred thousand people do all the work.
I can’t promise that crowd, but I can promise to hold still. In late January, the weather will help with that. Come cheer early and see how long I last before the horn. Spoiler: nowhere near two minutes. There’s a 5K to run, and for the next 30 minutes, nothing else is black or white.
(Note: This event isn’t the race link. Want a seat in the stadium? Grab your ticket at the race signup URL. Standing ovations are optional.)
