Say, friend — have you heard? Kansas City's getting its lights back for a night out (make that morning) at the Cliff Hanger 8K. This old town never really went quiet, it just went dim for a spell, waiting on the right crowd to come switch it back on.
Me, I've been putting in the reps — chalking the grip, working the stance, getting ready to make a prodigious feat look like a Sunday stroll. When the marquee promises "amazing," a fella's got to deliver, spots and all. Takes more than showmanship to hold up a stone and more, five times over, and a smile at the same time, but that's the business we're in.
So lace up, folks — this course has got dips and thrills enough to keep you hanging on, same as the old scenic rides used to. There's hills that'll test your wind and stretches that'll test your nerve, but the view from the top is worth every last huff. Come see the lights, come feel the burn, and don't let go till the finish line.
