This isn’t your typical race where anyone can just sign up and go. The Corporate Challenge brings together people from companies and organizations across Kansas City — each representing the work they do every day.For me, that means showing up for Cornerstones of Care.
At its core, our work is about helping children and families find safety, stability, and a path forward. It’s trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in community, through trust, accountability, and a shared commitment to growth and change.
The Sanctuary Model we use reminds us of that daily: create safety, build connection, communicate openly, take responsibility, and keep moving forward. Those aren’t just ideas we talk about — they shape how we show up for others, and for each other.
So this run is more than just miles on a course. It’s a reflection of that bigger mission — forward motion, supported by community, with hope always just ahead.
