Show Me Your Garden: Harvest Round

Join us Tuesday November 12th at 4:30 for our harvest themed cocktail competition, where mixology meets the beauty of nature and the spirit of community…and then we throw some fall at it. We want to celebrate the artistry of crafting exquisite cocktails infused with the freshest flavors and highlight local spirits that embody the craftsmanship and dedication of our regions distilleries.

Competitors will be creating drinks using their choice of spirits from Switchgrass Spirits, Still 630 Distillery, and 1220 Spirits. These drinks must also contain three seasonal garden harvest elements.

In addition to a formal judging panel, attendees will have the chance to sample prepared cocktails from our contestants and choose their favorite. From aromatic herbs to savory gourds and botanical infusions, each sip should be a tribute to the vibrant flavors of our surroundings. Attendees will also get to observe a MacGyver round of competition, where contestants will create a drink on the fly using specific provided elements.

Doors will open at 4:30 for sampling and mingling. Formal judging presentation will start between 5:30-6:00.

Tickets are $45 and will include samples of each of the competitors prepared cocktails along with samples of spirits from our cosponsors from 4:30-7:00.

Our kitchen will be open until 7.

COMPETITION FORMAT

Competitors should arrive by 3:30 on Tuesday November 12th, event will start at 4:30.

There will be three components to the competition

1. Formal presentation in front of 3-4 industry judges
2. • 10 minutes allotted not including clean up or set up
   • Provide a print out of recipe/build/inspiration for judges reference
3. MacGyver round in front of judges
4. • 15 minutes allotted
   • *No audience participation vote or sampling*
5. Audience participation by popular vote on batched cocktail.

Contestants will be expected to batch 100 ounces of their cocktail for guests to sample during a one and a half hour meet and greet with guests. There will be space provided to set up either on the courtyard or inside The Royale (weather permitting).

We will then move on to the formal judging portion where contestants will present four-five cocktails (one for pictures) have a short break then into the MacGyver round. These will both be live streamed on the courtyard. The scores of formal judging and MacGyver round will be totaled to determine:

1st place $300 Garden Glow ticket bundle

2nd place $150

People’s Choice Award Garden Glow ticket bundle + Royale Gift card

Sponsored Spirits will be provided along with any citrus needs, bar tools, and containers for batching and sampling. Contestants are welcome to decorate (optional) their sampling station. Space will be limited.

Everything will be provided in MacGyver round.
