This November, The Roost Revue offers a special, heartwarming edition of its bold cabaret series just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. For one night only, on Sunday, November 23rd, The Roost Lounge will host Gratitude & Grace, a Thanksgiving-themed celebration of song, story, and connection that reminds us of the beauty in giving thanks and cherishing the moments that matter most.
Featured performers for this Thanksgiving edition will include Troy Garza and Charlie Brown, both beloved talents whose diverse and unique storytelling will bring a beautiful depth to the evening’s theme. Garza’s extensive background in the entertainment business includes supervising and performing in the Broadway company of A Chorus Line for twelve years as dance captain and understudy for six roles. He subsequently went on to choreograph at Saturday Night Live for ten seasons and is best known for his Patrick Swayze / Chris Farley Chippendales sketch. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London's West End. He has directed companies of A Chorus Line in Amsterdam, Cape Town, Montreal, Munich, and Long Beach, California.
Charlie Brown is a celebrated dancer, singer, actor, and cabaret performer known for his magnetic stage presence and heartfelt storytelling. With performances spanning nearly
every state across the U.S. — and even international stages — Charles has captivated audiences
with his signature blend of charm, humor, and authenticity.
A natural entertainer both on stage and screen, Charles is also a five-time champion on the iconic game show Hollywood Squares. In 2023, he and his husband made history as the first
gay couple to compete on Wheel of Fortune’s Sweethearts Week, winning over viewers with their warmth and wit. His acclaimed, sold-out productions — including the hit show It’s Me, CHARLIE — have delighted audiences throughout California and beyond, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic and joyful force in the world of live entertainment.
Joel Baker – Musical Director
Joel Baker is a native of the Seattle area, and a graduate of the University Of Washington School of Music. There, he studied under international concert pianist Robin McCabe. Before moving to the desert in 2003, Joel played for Nordstrom stores for 15 years. He currently serves as accompanist for the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus, plays for two weekly open mic events, and is pianist for The Judy Show at The Purple Room. He is on staff for Midsummer Musical Retreat in Walla Walla, WA. Joel has been Music Director for several musical productions and has won two Desert Theatre League awards for his work in the local cabaret scene.
