Join us for a timely Conversation between Professor Federico Steinberg, Prince of Asturias Visiting Professor, and Dr. Alicia García-Herrero, Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at Natixis, Director with the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation (CAPRI), and Senior Fellow at Bruegel – the leading European think tank – as she explores the European Union’s position amid intensifying U.S.–China geoeconomic competition.

Dr. García-Herrero also serves as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the East Asian Institute of the National University of Singapore, Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Member of the Council of Advisors on Economic Affairs to the Spanish Government, and advisor to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s research arm (HKIMR).
With prior senior roles at the IMF, the Bank of Spain, the European Central Bank, and the Bank for International Settlements, Dr. García-Herrero brings unparalleled expertise on global economic trends, Asia–Europe relations, and the challenges policymakers face in a shifting geopolitical landscape.
