AUDITION DATES:
Date 1: Monday, August 11th @ 7:00pm
Date 2: Tuesday, August 12th @ 7:00pm
LOCATION: The Lightroom Lounge at Martha’s Vineyard. 215 W. Olive St. Springfield, MO
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
VOCAL AUDITION: Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show that best showcases your vocal range, personality, and storytelling ability.
Accompanist Provided: Bring clearly marked sheet music in the correct key. No a cappella auditions.
MOVEMENT/READING: Some may be asked to stay after their vocal audition to learn and perform a short piece of choreography and/or read from the script. Please wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes.
CALLBACKS (IF NEEDED): Wednesday, August 13th
A callback list will be posted on Wednesday, August 13th prior to 12:00pm. Callbacks will be held that evening beginning at 7:00pm. Individuals in consideration will be provided with materials and asked to read and sing from the script.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking fearless, dynamic performers (ages 18+) of all body types, gender identities, and ethnicities. The show is bold, playful, and unabashedly queer — and so is this production. We welcome performers of all experience levels and encourage you to bring your unique energy and voice to the room.
Please note:
The roles of Janet and Frank-N-Furter have been cast and are not available. However, we are seeking understudies for both characters. Performances for understudies are not guaranteed. All other roles, including featured ensemble and Phantoms, remain open.
REHEARSALS:
Most rehearsals for High Tide Theatrical’s production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW will be held Sunday through Thursday evenings between the hours of 7:00-10:00pm. The first cast meeting will be held Sunday, August 17th.

Cast members are required to be available for every performance.

ABOUT THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW:
A humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 1930s through 60s, The Rocky Horror Show follows sweethearts Brad and Janet on a night they’ll never forget. After their car breaks down, they stumble upon the mansion of mad transvestite scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter, who is unveiling his latest creation: the perfect man, “Rocky.” Packed with iconic songs like “Time Warp” and “Sweet Transvestite,” this raunchy, ridiculous, and rebellious show is a celebration of liberation, queerness, and the power of live performance.
