Celebrate this summer with Puppet Bucket & our newest show extravaganza, Rocky Horror Puppet Show! This show is an improvised musical that follows a goody two shoes small town couple who take a very wrong (or maybe perfectly right) turn and stumble into a bizarre, otherworldly cast of characters. With newly designed puppets, a cult classic horror flair, with singing and dancing, the show leans into the seductive absurdity of transformation, self identity, and giving into your deepest desires. Designed for those who appreciate camp, chaos, and cult-classic energy, Rocky Horror Puppet Bucket invites you to cheer, laugh, and maybe even question what’s pulling your strings.

Directed by Mac McDearmont, with core Puppet Bucket members Alyssa Gargoogian, LB Kovac, Kellen McMurry, Hendrik Matthysen, and Connor Molen. Guest starring Derek Sims, Becca Yuhas, Ellen Houlden, Grant Wilson, Jer Moran, and Maddie Cramer, with pianist Lisa Sperry, guitarist David Rosenbaum, and stage manager Cal Gonzalas. And, of course, a newly crafted never before seen ensemble of puppets!

Puppet Bucket is an award-nominated improvised puppetry troupe bringing bold, story-driven theatre to life, one puppet at a time. Rumored to have been a household name in the 1990s (and now proudly making our comeback), we combine old-fashioned puppet charm with quick witted, narrative improv. We were honored with a B. Iden Payne Award nomination in 2025 and an Austin Chronicle Best of Arts and Entertainment 2026 nomination, both celebrating our distinct voice in Austin’s theatre scene. REFUND POLICY:

Refunds can be requested up to 24 hours before the start of the show. If you purchase tickets and are a no-show on the night of the performance, you forfeit the right to a refund. Email [email protected] or contact Eventbrite through your purchase receipt.

This show is 18+ only.

PARKING:

Street parking is typically available within a 2 block radius of the theater. Try parking north of 7th Street on Lavaca, or west of Lavaca near Guadalupe & 8th (by the old library). We do not validate parking.

DRINK POLICY:

Our venue is BYOB. Must be 21+ years of age and present valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises. We reserve the right to deny service to anyone.
