Join us at The Historic World Theatre in Downtown Kearney as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture show! There will be a short explanation and demonstration of props beforehand given by our fabulous host. Dressing up is encouraged as always for this crowd favorite, we will have a costume contest right before showtime with prizes for first, second and third place. The pre-show will start at 8:30pm with showtime at 9:00pm!
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the longest-running theatrical cinema release in the world. Starring Tim Curry as the devious and fabulous Frank-N-Furter; Bostwick and Susan Sarandon as everybody's favorite nerdy couple, Brad and Janet; Meatloaf as ex-delivery boy Eddie who dates the groupie Columbia (played by Campbell); and Quinn as Magenta, servant to Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien); the film blends mid-century horror film aesthetics, sci-fi fantasy, and a hefty dose of taboo-shattering self-expression to create a wholly unique experience.
