A fantastic day in Nottinghamshire's Robin Hood territory with a 16 mile circular hike. We start at 9.15am close to the beautiful historic village of Edwinstowe at the Sherwood Forest Country Park visitor centre car park (NG21 9QB).
The hike takes us through Sherwood Forest to the famous 'Major Oak' tree and along parts of the Robin Hood Way trail, across Clumber Bridge to the see the impressive National Trust Clumber House and the lake and over to Hardwick Village. We come back along the Robin Hood Way and back through Sherwood Forest again to finish this wonderful hike which is fully guided throughout. We should finish around 4pm and what a great way to spend the Bank Holiday. (Rating 3)
