Wayne Presbyterian Church is honored to host Dr. Francis S. Collins—renowned physician-scientist, leader of the Human Genome Project, and former director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)—for community discussions based on his vital new book, The Road to Wisdom: On Truth, Science, Faith, and Trust.
About Dr. Collins
Dr. Collins' groundbreaking contributions to science have earned him election to the National Academy of Medicine and the National Academy of Sciences. He has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom (2007), the National Medal of Science (2009), and the Templeton Prize, which celebrates scientific and spiritual curiosity.
He is the bestselling author of The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief (2006) and founder of BioLogos, the leading organization exploring the harmony between rigorous science and Christian faith.
