Saturday 29th November 7.30pm and a repeat on Sunday 30th at 2.30pm - which is more family oriented. The concert is in two halves: in the first half we will deconstruct the Rite of Spring with Richard Gonski guiding us through the score with members of the TSO giving context via live examples; plus readings of texts which deal with the historical, social and psychological aspects of the ballet’s narrative; video projections and live dance specifically choreographed and performed by young dancers from the Southwest.
After the interval we will perform the whole piece with the help of a very large orchestra.
Should be absolutely fabulous and enlightening!
