The Rites of Eleusis were a series of seven public invocations or rites written by Aleister Crowley. Each centered on one of the seven classical planets of antiquity. They were dramatically performed by Aleister Crowley, Leila Waddell (aka "Laylah"), and Victor Benjamin Neuberg in October and November 1910, at Caxton Hall, London.
Southern California O.T.O. has a long and wonderful history of performing the rites, and it has been several years since the rites have been performed here locally.
Please join Golden Lotus Lodge as we present The Rite of Mars, the third of the seven rites, on Saturday, May 18th at 7pm. Doors will open at 6. This series of the Rites of Eleusis is directed by Sister Lucy.
A toast and potluck feast will follow, so please bring food and drink.
A $20 fee is requested for attendance.
