The Rite of Holy Unction (Елеосвящение), and first services in Winchester.We will serve Holy Unction on Sunday, March 29th, 2026 at 6:30 pm. St. Matrona Orthodox Church, 152 West Broadway St., Winchester, KY, 40391.
To be anointed during the yearly service of general Unction, a person must:
1. Be an Orthodox Christian of the age of Confession.
2. Have gone to Holy Confession recently.
All are welcome to attend the services!
Full Service Schedule:
Saturday, March 28th, 2 pm: McGuire baptism
Saturday, March 28th, 5 pm: Vigil
Sunday, March 29th, 10 am: Divine Liturgy
Sunday, March 29th, 6:30 pm: Holy Unction
