Join the New Orleans Coven at Hex on September 20th at 7pm to celebrate the Rite of Fall Equinox: A Witches' Sabbat! This is a free event.
Also called Michaelmas, Autumn Equinox, Mabon, Festival of Dionysus, and Cornucopia, September 20-23. This is a lesser Sabbat and begins the tide of water, also called the Tide of Recession, and ends that of fire. This is the second harvest festival, and, like its spring counterpart, is a time of balance when the light will begin to yield and fade in power. It is a celebration of life in the face of death, a time to remember that, although the harvest is reaped, the seeds have been placed. It is a time to enjoy the first fruits and wine. The Fall Equinox is a great time to focus on the emotional world, dreams, and astral journeys.
