๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฒ grew up with jazz in his blood โ literally. His dad was a jazz pianist, and his earliest lessons happened in the pews of his familyโs church and on the living room piano bench. Later, under the mentorship of ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐๐, he developed a voice thatโs as technically sharp as it is emotionally grounded.Originally from the East Coast, Steve made his way to New Orleans and never looked back. He played with ๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐๐ซ โ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐งโ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ๐งโ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ, then took his place behind the keys with the ๐๐๐ฐ ๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐๐ณ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ, where his piano work helps drive the bandโs tight, swinging sound.
Onstage, he plays it like he means it โ always. Offstage, heโs passing it on as a dedicated educator. Whether heโs in the classroom or on the bandstand, Steveโs the real deal.
