About this Event

Edie will trace the roots of the Rights of Nature movement and its flowering in Arizona and around the world. She’ll read from her new book, Pulling Together in Rising Waters: Reciprocity as Practice and will share how her visual art interprets the ideas that support interdependence, reciprocity, respect, and t connection between humans and the more than human world to move us beyond the limiting frame of human exceptionalism.

Event Photos

The growing Rights of Nature movement – advancing nature itself as a body deserving legal rights – has the potential to significantly increase our chances of sustaining all life on the planet. It puts into practice our increasingly inclusive and multidimensional understandings of the more than human world – understandings that encompass both deep spiritual traditions and sophisticated scientific discoveries.

Doors open at 6:30pm. The presentation starts at 7:00pm.

*The event is free, but space is limited, and registration is required. For those unable to attend in person, the talk will be live-streamed on our YouTube Channel.
