To celebrate the release of 'Unplugged Album 2', 'The Rifles visit Kingston to play an acoustic set at St John's Church. There'll be signed prints to collect on the way out after the event.
After their recent #1 UK Independent Album, The Rifles once again step into Abbey Road Studios for Unplugged Album Vol. 2. Recorded in the iconic Studio 2, the band revisit some of their finest songs in an acoustic setting enriched with delicate piano and a string quartet. Building on the success of Unplugged Vol. 1 – whose reworked songs quickly became fan-favourites in their live sets – this follow-up offers a fresh perspective on The Rifles’ catalogue. Across sixteen tracks, including Talking, Time in Hand, When I’m Alone, Peace and Quiet and Darling Girl, the band reveal new shades of their melodic indie-rock craft. Rather than relying on studio polish, Vol. 2 thrives on authenticity. The recordings carry the immediacy of a live moment, making the listener feel as though they’re right there in Studio 2 with the band – a room steeped in history.
