The Return of Hike Club! (Eagle Spur Rail Trail)
It’s been way too long, but we’re finally bringing back Hike Club! We want to make this a regular thing again, so come out, get some fresh air, and help us kick off a new season of outdoor community vibes. As always, this is an intentionally welcoming, inclusive space for our queer family and wonderful allies to connect and hang out.
For our big return, we’re heading to the Eagle Spur Rail Trail on Saturday, June 20th at 9:00 AM. We will rally at 9:00 and start the hike by 9:15.
The Quick Details:
The Trail: It’s a super pretty, flat out-and-back trail (about 5 miles total) that follows an old rail line through the woods and wetlands, ending right at Jordan Lake. It’s a natural dirt path, so no intense hills, but keep an eye out for roots (and maybe some bald eagles!).
Where to Meet: The trailhead is off Stagecoach Road (just past Hwy 751). There's a small dirt parking area right at the entrance, so carpool if you can!
Lunch: We'll finish up right around lunchtime, so for anyone down to keep hanging out, we'll grab a bite to eat together nearby afterwards.
What to grab: Comfortable walking shoes, water, bug spray, and sunscreen.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just want a casual morning stroll with great company, everyone is welcome.
