The Restorative Executive™: Power, Trust, and Sustainable Leadership
About this Event
The Restorative Executive™
Power, Trust, and Sustainable Leadership in Complex Organizations
Leadership today demands more than strategy, technical expertise, or the ability to deliver results. Executives are being asked to navigate complexity, lead through uncertainty, build and repair trust, sustain high-performing teams, and make consequential decisions, all while attending to the human and organizational conditions that make performance possible.
The Restorative Executive™ is an immersive, two-day executive leadership institute designed for leaders who want to strengthen not simply what they lead, but how they lead.
Hosted at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, this deliberately intimate experience is limited to 10 participants, creating space for deeper dialogue, individualized application, peer learning, and meaningful reflection.
The Experience
Across two days, participants move through an integrated leadership framework:
LEAD SELF → LEAD PEOPLE → LEAD SYSTEMS → LEAD FORWARD
Through evidence-informed instruction, executive case analysis, facilitated dialogue, reflection, peer consultation, and applied leadership exercises, participants will examine the relationship between power, trust, culture, accountability, organizational systems, and sustainable performance.
This is not a traditional leadership conference or large-format workshop. Participants will engage directly with complex leadership challenges and leave with practical strategies they can carry back into their organizations.
What You'll Explore
Participants will strengthen their capacity to:
Analyze the organizational, cultural, and systems-level conditions affecting leadership effectiveness, trust, workforce well-being, and performance.
Examine how leadership behavior, power, culture, and decision-making shape psychological safety, collaboration, and accountability.
Apply systems thinking and adaptive leadership to complex organizational challenges.
Strengthen trust, shared leadership, healthy workplace culture, and organizational resilience.
Integrate trauma-informed, equity-centered, and people-centered principles into executive practice.
Translate learning into an actionable leadership strategy for sustainable organizational change.
A Different Kind of Executive Learning Experience
Restoration is intentionally built into the institute, not treated as an afterthought.
Day Two includes Restorative Leadership Practice: Yoga, Movement & Renewal, a guided and accessible experience designed to create space for physical reset, reflection, and renewal before participants transition into strategy, accountability, and forward action.
No previous yoga experience is required, and modifications will be available.

The institute is designed for executives, senior leaders, organizational decision-makers, public health and healthcare leaders, nonprofit and social-impact executives, program and portfolio leaders, and professionals responsible for leading people, systems, strategy, or organizational change.
