Did you know that the church world has it's own calendar? It is called the Liturgical Calendar. (Fast FAQ: Liturgy means the work of the people or work done by the church on behalf of people) The Liturgical Calendar ends on the last Sunday before the start of Advent (More FAQs: Advent means an arrival of importance) which is the time that Christians commemorate the coming of the Christ Child, and the second coming of Christ.) The Reign of Christ the King Sunday honors Christ as the one true King of the world and of the hearts of believers. So in a way, this is the New Years Eve of the church, and the celebration is of Christ Jesus. Wheeler UMC will celebrate this special Sunday in worship at 10 AM on November 24. All are welcome to come and celebrate.
